Annette Begg Onyema is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Idia Africa, a consumer-focused platform dedicated to building, backing, and strengthening Africa’s next generation of enduring consumer businesses.
She leads Idia Ego, an investment platform focused on high-potential African consumer companies, and Idia Legacy, a strategic growth and capital readiness platform supporting ambitious brands preparing to scale.
Annette brings extensive experience in capital strategy, institutional fundraising, and structured growth. Her professional background includes roles at the African Development Bank and Morgan Stanley, where she developed expertise across financial structuring, investment processes, and capital markets.
She holds an MBA in Luxury Management from Paris and a BBA in Finance and Economics from New York City, combining financial discipline with deep sector insight into consumer and brand-driven businesses.
Annette also serves as a Director at KOCE Enterprises Limited and as Chairperson of its Business Development and General Purpose Committee. She is a Global Council Member of the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art.
